Preach to yourself

"If there's anything in life that we should be passionate about, it's the
gospel. And I don't mean passionate only about sharing it with others. I mean
passionate about thinking about it, dwelling on it, rejoicing in it, allowing it
to colour the way we look at the world. Only one thing can be of first
importance to each of us. And only the
gospel ought to be."
C.J. Mahaney, The Cross Centered Life.
Pastor Ralph reiterated on Sunday night how important it is to be consistent; to be devoted to the 'discipline' aspects of our faith.

Follow this link, and you can download (for free & legally!) The Gospel Primer. This is a (really) little book that helps us to preach the gospel to ourselves daily. Why is this so important? Well, as the author states,

"...if Christians would do more preaching of the gospel to themselves,
non-Christians might have less trouble comprehending its message, for they would
see its truth and power exuding from believers in indisputable ways."
Milton Vincent, The Gospel Primer.
